accumulations between half an inch and two inches. Ice
accumulations between a tenth of an inch and one half of an inch
possible, with isolated ice accumulations up to three quarters of
an inch.
* WHERE...Central Texas and portions of East Texas.
* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. The strong winds and weight of
snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic
power outages. Significant ice accumulation on power lines and
tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages.

Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas

For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.
Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves.along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. Dense fog will continue on and off this afternoon in the bays and coastal waters, becoming more widespread tonight into Friday morning. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect. An Arctic cold front is expected to push into the coastal waters late Friday night bringing a much colder airmass, strong north winds and building seas this weekend. Periods of precipitation are anticipated into Sunday with the potential for freezing rain in and around the bays Sunday morning. Mariners are advised to keep up with the latest forecasts.
