Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida

Winds and seas will remain benign through the weekend with the main concern being sea fog. There is an area around Tampa Bay and off Pinellas county that has prompted the issuance of a Dense Fog Advisory and additional advisories may be needed later today and tonight. A front will push through Sunday and Monday, with showers and a few storms, followed by increasing winds near headlines. High pressure then builds back over the region through mid week.
Gulf coastal waters from Bonita Beach to the mouth of the Suwannee River out to 60 NM. Important notice to mariners.marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height.
