Coastal Waters Forecast for California
National Weather Service San Diego CA
for the far Southern California coast. At 2 AM, a 1026 mb high was 700 NM southwest of San Diego, a 983 mb low was near Seattle, and a weak 1014 mb low was covering the Gulf of California. Steep seas will continue to fall this morning and into this evening. Additional long period northwesterly swells will continue to push across through much of next week. Weak onshore flow prevails before stronger northwest winds develop late Friday afternoon, with gusts up to 20 knots in the outer coastal waters near San Clemente Island. Northwest winds weaken significantly by early Saturday before picking back up Sunday night and Monday morning.
