High pressure will remain in place across the eastern seaboard through Friday before migrating into the open Atlantic this weekend. A cold front is expected to approach the local waters late Sunday. Northeasterly winds veer to the east and freshen by Friday then gradually turn to the southeast by Sunday. Gulf Stream boating conditions should become poor to hazardous beginning Friday. Isolated to scattered showers are forecast, especially Friday through the weekend.
