Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida

High pressure will hold over the waters through Friday with northeast winds gradually subsiding. Scattered showers will be possible Friday night ahead of a strong cold front, which will push across the waters on Saturday. Strong high pressure will build over the waters in the wake of the front with sustained winds increasing to near Gale Force, but with frequent gusts to Gale Force.creating extremely hazardous boating conditions. On Sunday, winds will slowly diminish but will still remain at Small Craft Advisory conditions through Sunday night. However, it will take longer for seas to subside.
Gulf coastal waters from Bonita Beach to the mouth of the Suwannee River out to 60 NM. Important notice to mariners.marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height.
